The Mask

People don’t want to believe narcissists exist. Or mostly ask what did you do to allow them in?

It doesn’t fit with their worldview that “Everyone means well” and that “Everyone deserves second chances.”

But NOT believing in narcissists-

Is much more dangerous than believing in them.

Because by acting like they don’t exist, you don’t know what to do when:

-Someone’s words and actions don’t match.

-Someone acts differently at home than in public.

-Someone denies facts, but says you’re the crazy one.

Narcissists hide behind a deceitful facade, convincing you that they’re either:

So GREAT they can’t be bad.

Or so VICTIMIZED that they’re harmless.

Either way, you don’t imagine just how vindictive, manipulative, and controlling they really are.

And this is how narcissists cause so much harm-

By being the wolf in sheep’s clothing.

The wolf gets in the best position to attack by acting like he’s innocent.

By acting like he’s just “one of the sheep.”

Narcissists are good at playing the part.

They look like everyone else: well-meaning, kind, successful, and helpful.

But this is their costume – not the truth.

How would you describe your narcissist’s mask? What do they portray to the world?
